How can the Brown rice diet help you?

The brown rice diet enables you to cleanse your digestive system, so that it functions much better. When your digestive system works efficiently, it can easily absorb nutrients, which in turn gives strength and vitality to your body.

As part of this diet, you need to have organic brown rice. You need to first cook brown rice with water. During the last 15 to 20 minutes of the cooking time, you can add onions, herbs and spices to the rice to make the meal tastier. It’s preferable to include organic vegetables in your diet. These veggies should be taken raw, steamed or baked form. You can have any whole vegetables, except corn and mushrooms, in your diet.

The diet also includes intake of fruit (preferably organic). Once again, as with vegetables, all kinds of whole fruits can be taken, except for bananas and dried fruit. The fruits must be taken raw, within about half-an-hour or two hours after a meal.

You can include condiments such as olive oil, lemon or any herbs and spices, which does not include salt or MSG. The drinks taken should be only filtered, distilled or spring water, and should be taken about half-an-hour before eating or one hour after eating.

This diet is designed to help you loose weight and at the same time provide enough nutrition for your body, so that it can cleanse itself. While on the diet, you can eat the food specified in the diet program whenever you feel hungry. It’s best to have several small meals per day rather than 3 large ones.

Foods not allowed in this diet are shrimp and canned food. This diet lasts for about seven days after which you need to come off the diet gradually, reason being, you should not shock you system by overloading it after the diet course.

During the period that you come off the diet, you should introduce food into your diet, one at time during any meal to see how your system reacts to it. If you tolerate the food well, you can continue with it, otherwise consider some other food as alternative. In this phase, you should continue to drink water, about half-an-hour before or one hour after eating for better digestion ,avoid canned food and eat raw fruits about half-an-hour before or two hours after eating for best results.
